New Name, Same Work: The At the Root Project/le Projet À la racine!
Effective Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, our organization will now be known as the At the Root Project/le Projet À la racine.
This change reflects the evolution of the project and the work we developed over the last two years as part of the organization’s flagship project, At the Root.
While our name is different, everything that matters remains the same: our mission, team, and the work we do. We remain grounded in being “at the root” of the issue of sexual harassment and violence in STEM experiential learning. We’re simply moving to a name that better reflects who we are!
“This is an evolution of our organization, not a reinvention. Our new name reflects our continued commitment to addressing the root causes of sexual harassment and violence in STEM co-ops, internships and other experiential learning opportunities. ”
What this means:
Our official website is now attherootproject.ca (you’re already here!). Moving forward, all emails and communications will come from this domain. If you follow us on LinkedIn, subscribe to our newsletter, or watch our YouTube channel, you'll start seeing the new name there, too.
