Acknowledge, Respond, Connect

ARC stands for Acknowledge, Respond and Connect. Developed by Possibility Seeds in 2023, the ARC model is a three-step approach designed to help post-secondary employees (i.e., faculty, staff, administrators) and experiential learning employers respond effectively to disclosures of sexual harassment and violence in professional environments.

ARC Resources

The resources below adapt the ARC model for leaders and practitioners of experiential learning (EL) and work-integrated learning (WIL) in Canada, particularly (but not exclusively) for those who teach and support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

This animated overview will walk you through the ARC model and how to practice it in STEM EL and WIL settings. The video is available in both English and French.
