Introducing ARC in Action
The Courage to Act Foundation has officially launched ARC in Action, a free, self-directed and asynchronous e-learning course that helps you recognize, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment in STEM learning and professional environments.
ARC stands for Acknowledge, Respond and Connect. Developed by Possibility Seeds in 2023, the ARC model is a three-step approach designed to help post-secondary employees (i.e., faculty, staff, administrators) and experiential learning employers respond effectively to disclosures of sexual harassment and violence in professional environments.
ARC in Action adapts the ARC model for leaders and practitioners of experiential learning and work-integrated learning in Canada, particularly (but not exclusively) for those who teach and support STEM students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
ARC in Action features:
An animated overview of the adapted ARC model, available for streaming in both English and French.
A free self-paced e-learning designed to help you build confidence in responding effectively, support students who have been harmed, and connect them to appropriate resources and services
A companion workbook to use alongside the ARC e-learning course, with space to document supports and navigate disclosures of sexual harassment.
Create your free learner account for the e-learning course and explore other ARC in Action resources by clicking the button below.
For the best experience, we recommend completing the e-learning course using Google Chrome on a desktop browser.
